Northern Steel are once again pleased to invite you back to Perry Lakes on Sunday the 22 March 2026. Gates will be open to the public from 9am and 8am for entrants. We look forward to welcoming you to the shady grass area at the corner of Underwood Ave and Perry Lakes Drive. This event will be lock in until approximately 2.30pm to allow for judging and presentation of trophies. Pre registration is open from now until 5pm on Monday the 9th March 2026 for those wishing to purchase the limited edition entrant shirt. Shirt size selection is made when completing your registration. The entrant shirts are locally printed and true to normal Aussie bloke sizing! If you miss the entrant shirt cut off, a limited number of t-shirts will be available for purchase on the day.  Registration for entrants not wanting to pre purchase t-shirts will be open until 5pm on Friday 20th March 2026. Registration on the day will be $20 per car at the gate with correct cash amount preferred and then registration of information with the admin girls at the Northern Steel Club Gazebo to be in the entry for the awards on the day. Eftpos will be available at the main Northern Steel Tent. We will have two vehicle entry queues on the day, one being for pre-registered cars and the other for on the day entries. We will have traffice management in place to guide you to the correct entry point.  There will be some market stalls, food stalls and kids activities on the day on the day for your entertainment. Why not grab a coffee or a bite to eat to walk around and view the amazing cars on display. Spectators are free and there is plenty of spectator parking.  There will be 5 Categories to enter your car in on the day -  *Best Ford *Best Holden/Chev *Best Valiant/Mopar *Best Import *Best Hot Rod/Rat Rod. Each car is only eligible to enter one category, so choose carefully.  There will also be a Peoples Choice Award for everyone on the day and a Northern Steel Car Club member vehicle award that member entries will automatically be entered into.  All proceeds from the day will be going to Headspace to support mental health in WA.     

Come along to Northern Steel’s annual toy run for Perth Children’s Hospital. Meeting time will be 8:00am for a 8:30am start from the lottery house car park on Boas Ave in Joondalup.  There will be a cruise route for the day, which will include a trip around PCH so the kids can look through the windows and see the cars cruise by. Cruise sheets will be distributed at the start point. Finish point is David Cruikshank Reserve Tennis Club Car we will be able to park the cars and the good folks at the tennis club will be providing refreshments and food for the participants to purchase. Pre purchase is available for $10 per person through the ticket link to save queuing when we arrive. We will be collecting toys for PCH at the finish point. PCH have requested we provide the gifts unwrapped from the following wish list: Gift cards to Toymate, Itunes, JB HI FI, Cotton On, Coles/ Myer, Dymocks, Kmart, Baby Bunting, Rebel Sport, Target, Visa or MasterCard prepaid - Stickers, pencils, colouring in books, journals, craft kits - Playdough, putty, small individual bubbles, kinetic sand - Lego kits, hot wheel cars and trucks - Hair accessories and nail polish - Headphones, Bluetooth speakers - Jigsaw puzzles, roll up puzzle mats - Baby books (That’s not my........) - Activity sets- beading, kitting, velvet art posters, jewellery kits - Birthday decorations: balloons, streamers, banners - Fidget toys- pop its, spinners, fun cubes, stress balls - Baby items- teethers, rattles, cot mobiles - Pillow pets, mood lights, sensory lights - Board games and card games The hospital has requested that we avoid stuffed toys and that all toys are new and please be mindful of choking hazards and avoid noisy toys given the hospital environment. Toys that can be easily used while in hospital beds and easy to clean up after are use. If you would prefer to donate money – please let us know and we will purchase on your behalf. There are some great things at Kmart and Red Dot etc for between $5-$15. We hope to see as many of you as possible at this event in support of PCH.

We will travel up as a group to this event leaving from Joondalup. more info to come closer to the day.  The Ledge Point Community Association is having their annual Show n Shine Family Day on Sunday 5th October and we would love to have Northern Steel Car Club and friends with us on this day. This year is the 70th birthday of Ledge Point and we are making this day one of celebration with lots more activities and attractions for people so hopefully the attendance will reflect this.

Please note that we are unable to open prior to advertised times as a condition of Public Liability Insurance and Risk Management protocols. All vehicles MUST be in place and parked, and all Traders setup, before we can admit the general public. Last entry onto the oval will be 2.00pm. Entry fees for this year are: Adults - $10.00 each Children - $5.00 each (Under 15) Family Pass - $20.00 (2 Adults and 2 Children) Presentation of trophies, including People's Choice will be 2.00pm People's Choice votes can be lodged in the boxes provided, and last votes for People's Choice will be collected at 1.30pm. Location of the Voting boxes will be announced over the PA.

EVENT PURPOSE The Curtin FM 100.1 Car Show is a 100% fund raiser for Curtin FM Radiothon helping keep our community station on air, with part proceeds going to a nominated registered charity. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Entry of display vehicle covers vehicle, driver, and one other passenger. Additional persons will be charged full gate entry with NO EXCEPTIONS. The Curtin FM 100.1 Car Show reserves the right to refuse entry to any non-conforming applicant/vehicle. No correspondence will be entered into. Sunday set up time will be from 6.30am to 9.30am. All vehicles and displays must be set up by 9.30am - NO EXCEPTIONS. Any person found causing damage to any part of the property of Curtin University or any part of the campus, including any playing or parking surfaces, shall be liable for the cost of replacement or repair. All KEYS to display vehicles MUST be removed from vehicle and kept on your person. Due to Public Liability Insurance constraints, NO vehicles or displays are permitted to be moved between the hours of 9.30am and 2.00pm – with NO EXCEPTIONS. The Curtin FM 100.1 Car Show, Curtin FM, Curtin University and any other car show organised by Curtin FM 100.1 Car Show, are exempted from any liability arising from loss, injury or damage to any vehicle, person or property whilst engaged in this event. All owners of vehicle to be displayed must have their own insurance. Any “For Sale” signs displayed must not exceed A4 paper size and must be printed, not handwritten. No alcohol is permitted on the grounds with the exception of the appropriate licensed areas. All directions of Curtin FM 100.1 Car Show representatives must be followed. Curtin FM 100.1 Car Show shall from time to time co-host or run inconjunction with/alongside their regular car show, other car shows.  Any such car show falls under the organisation and banner of the Curtin FM 100.1 Car Show and are subject to the above Conditions of Entry.

Sunday 21st September 2025 10:00am to 3.00pm (arrive from 7.30am) Rivers edge between Riverside Drive and the Swan River. We will not be looking to have entry on Langley park this year, but you are welcome to do so directly if you wish. https://tarmacevents.com.au/entry/ Northern Steel will be leaving at 6.30am from the car park across from the licensing centre on Boas Ave in Joondalup to cruise down to the swan river for the Classics on the Swan event this year.  Book your free ticket (so I know numbers) and join us for a chill day watching the rally cars and enjoying the river views.  About the event Classics on the Swan is free for individual exhibitors and spectators to attend. The Rivers edge between Riverside Drive and the Swan River is the perfect backdrop to enjoy the event. Vehicles that are registered for this event, will not be able to be moved or driven between 10am and 3pm.  Dash passes will be emailed to participants and must be displayed on the vehicle as proof of registration.  Vehicles without a dash pass, will be redirected to the Modified Street Cars Come & Go area – $10.00 fee (cash only). Illegal parking fines apply in this area – State Car Park Legislation. Any shade structures must be weighted, and size must not exceed 20m2 – (eg 3×3 is 9m2 & 6×3 is 18m2). The arrival time for individual exhibitors is between 7.30am and 9.30am on the day of the event and the departure time is after 3.00pm. We don’t reserve a bay for you, it’s first in best dressed, so if you wish to park with a friend, meet with them before arriving and come in together.  

Join us for the annual Northern Steel Car Club Annual General Meeting (AGM) from 6pm at the Wanneroo Tavern on the 19th July 2025. Formalities will start at 7pm.  As this is a catered event tickets are available for $15pp. Included in the ticket price will be food throughout the evening and a decent bar tab as our way of saying thank you for your continued support of the club. We hope that you can join us for the short formalities followed by a great evening with good music, catching up and meeting your fellow Northern Steel Car Club members. The following committee positions will be up for re-election on the night: Vice President 5 x Ordinary Committee Members Nominations of current members interested in being considered for election to the committee at the AGM need to be communicated to the club admin by 5pm Friday 20th June 2025 in accordance with the Club Rules. Interested members must nominate for election by sending written notice to the club secretary at admin@northernsteelcars.com. The written notice must include a statement of support by another current member of Northern Steel Car Club. A vote will be taken on the night to elect the committee members for 2025/2026. Together with the Charger Club of WA we have been invited to bring our cars to Carco for the Bosch Power Tools Perth 440 Event.  This is a members only offer. We have a limit for 20 cars as the first release, but may be able to expand numbers closer to the event.  We will have double pass GA tickets with pitt access available per club car for those bringing their pride and joy to park on the hill at the end of the straight before the final turn (excellent vantage point). The ticket will be collected the morning of the event and need to be returned at the end of the day to Northern Steel unless you are planning to attend consecutive days of the event. Northern Steel's May 2025 Monthly meet is moving to be part of the Joondalup Festival of Motoring again. With acrtivities all weekend Friday to Sunday including rally racing, car displays of all kinds, live music, food stalls, merch stalls, what a great opportunity to participate in this local event.  We are looking forward to high participation for this event from the club and its supporters. This is a roll in roll out event with prizes up for grabs.

  !!!STOP THE PRESS!!!! Perth's Celebration of MotorSport and Classics on the Swan is on again! This event day is set to be huge! SUNDAY 15SEP24 Event starts at 10am with entry from 7.30am. There are two categories of entry for Northern Steel members Northern Steel members and followers will be meeting from Boas Ave on Joondalup to drive down together. We will meet at 7.30am with the cruise leaving at 8am. The day is set to be jam packed with action on the foreshore with lots to see and do for the whole family. We need to know numbers so we can get space allocated to us - so please book a ticket through the link. Really hope to see an many of you as possible at this event. Fantastic Family Event – Free to Attend! (except in the come and go section of the Celebration of Motorsport event which allows you to come and go for $10 for the day) Join us for a celebration of racing, rallying, off-roading, motocross, drifting, x-trial, motorcycles, karts, soap box, radio-controlled car and classic & modern cars.
